Product Description

The oysters are grown on the West coast of Ireland in the open Atlantic waters. I’ve spoken with Stephen the owner who is a Marine Biologist and he’s been so helpful with regards to asking all my questions and providing me with microbial, heavy metal and PCB/dioxin testing. Not all aquaculture is bad! Shellfish such as oysters and mussels are perfect for aquatic farming because they feed on plankton in the water. No fish feed, soy meals etc required. They theoretically require no inputs and are an ecologically friendly AND vegan friendly option given they do not have a central nervous system.
Every single batch is tested for heavy metals, microbiological profile & nutritional analytical constituents so you know what the label says is accurate 100% of the time. Only the meat of the oyster is used – never any shell!

Oyster is considered one of the most mineral dense foods we have access to (alongside Beef Liver), providing valuable levels of zinc, copper, selenium and much more. OysterMax® contains on average 3.0 mg of natural organic zinc per 4 capsules which is the highest on the market and ten times the amount of zinc found in red meat. It also contains the perfect ratio of Copper to keep the intrinsic balance of these two minerals in check. The body’s important copper reserves can become depleted if zinc is taken on its own. As with all wholefood supplements, the trace elements in OysterMax® are already bound to transport molecules (peptides, amino acids) which makes them considerably more bio-available vs synthetic Zinc supplements for example.
The high concentration of free amino acids and peptides are also directly available to the blood once consumed making them very fast acting. Synthetic mineral supplements on the other hand need to bind to transport molecules during digestion before they can be absorbed, which may in turn affect their bioavailability and thus efficacy.
