The work of the late Dr. John Prudden showed that bovine tracheal cartilage had unique and powerful effects on wound healing, autoimmune conditions, joint health and several other conditions considered to be treatment resistant to conventional therapies.

According to Dr. Prudden, bovine cartilage stimulates the immune system in certain conditions, but suppresses it in others… Thus it acts as a “normaliser” or immunoregulator to balance and regulate a health promoting response for a given stimulus. According to Dr. Prudden, “bovine cartilage closely resembles fetal mesenchyme, the primordial tissue from which muscle, bone, tendons, ligaments, skin, fat and bone marrow (the heart of the immune system) all develop.” “The cartilage”, he adds, “contains numerous powerful molecular bio-directors.”

In vivo (mice) and in vitro experiments using both aqueous extracts of digested bovine trachea and cartilage powder result in enhanced antibody production to a number of T-dependent and T-independent antigens. The mechanism by which antibodies are produced was interpreted to be direct stimulation of B cells “by virtue of its chondroitin sulfate content”.

When cartilage is digested it releases chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine sulphate and other Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) for use by the body. There is a wide amount of interest in BTC for use as a natural health supplement, for glycosaminoglycans (GAG’s) and Chondroitin Sulphate (CS) for gut, bone, joint and skin health.

DIRECTIONS- Take as a capsule or empty contents into smoothies. Blends easily with various fruit or vegetable juices & is best consumed before meals for maximum absorption.  Take 4 capsules daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.  Can be taken with or without food.  Can be taken all at once or in divided doses.  For extra support, the dose may be doubled or tripled.  If doubling or tripling the dose, the doses should be separated by at least three hours to improve tolerability.

To avoid detox reactions, it is strongly suggested that you start at one capsule a day and increase the dose approximately every three days until you have reached the desired dose.  Detox reactions are more likely to occur when starting at the full dose.  One capsule is equivalent to 10ml of concentrated liquid BTC.
